When completed, Nocatee will have 14,000 homes, along with 150 acres of parks, 9,000 acres of conserved lands, 1 million square feet of commercial space and 4 million square feet of office space.

Per the www.Jacksonville.com article listed on the Nocatee website, “PARC Group partner Greg Barbour said the developers of Nocatee didn’t know about the history until they ordered an archeological study. St. Johns County requires developers to order the studies so they can consider preservation. About a third of Nocatee, or 5,000 acres, won’t be developed because of its historical significance, Barbour said.”
